This is the first factory-printed sample of Mr. Peabody. We’ll be posting more images of the other characters over the days and weeks to come, so stay tuned!

Right now we’ve got five of the twelve designs approved and in production with another seven designs undergoing revisions. We’re shooting for a spring release, sometime prior to San Diego Comic Con.

Tear Drips are a new art toy project produced by a collaboration between Chicago-based product development specialists Squibbles Ink, designer toy store Rotofugi and artist Travis Lampe.

We (Rotofugi) did an exhibit with Travis in December 2007 called Fantasy Cryland. One of the things Travis did for the exhibit were these amazing little hand-stitched and hand-painted pieces (image shown) he called “Tear Drips.”  Inspired by Travis’ creations we immediately set about to pester him into letting us make his art into vinyl toys. Thankfully, he said yes.

The Tear Drips will be released as a “blind box” art toy later this year (2009). We’ll be posting information about the project on this page as we progress.

For now, please be sure to check out our Images Page to see the original Tear Drips that inspired our project.
